News
We've been hard at work getting PINE off the ground, and finally have some great things to show for our efforts:
- PINE is now incorporated. We are also working on getting our non-profit status at the state and federal levels.
- We have a rockin' new t-shirt design that was on display during the Summer 2008 Northeastern Permaculture Gathering at Nuestras Raices in Holyoke. The design was created by local artist Wendell Rheinheimer, and can be seen in several of our photos below. Our t-shirts will be on sale at several local events, including the upcoming Garlic & Arts Festival in Orange, MA and at permaculture classes.
Thanks to all of you who have shown us support - we appreciate it immensely!
Changes
There has been a slight snafu with our email address. If you have attempted to contact us and received no response, please try again to the email address listed on this site. It was listed incorrectly on our flyers.
FYI - at this time we do not have an active mailing list, but we will hold onto your addresses and add you to our mailing list once it becomes active.
We hope to see even more progress in the coming months, and welcome comments and suggestions from you all!
Building the Permaculture Network: Bringing Solutions to Communities
Regional awareness about the need and potential for an ecological and sustainable society is growing. Imminent and ongoing changes in climate, energy, land-use, and food systems require new thinking and strategies to address these opportunities. As a wholistic perspective and integrated design system, permaculture is an ideal answer to such challenges.
PINE is a regional permaculture and sustainability umbrella organization in the Northeast U.S. It supports local and regional societal change based on ecological and social justice principles. PINE aims to bring together and support communities through education, grant writing and outreach.
